Fellow Star-Wars lovers! This post goes to you, as I recently got an order to design a Star-Wars themed t-shirt. I was requested that the design should reflect Star wars theme, but be cute and lovable, as well.
And this is the final product!
What about you, guys? I love Star Wars and everything about it, maybe because it symbolizes a fantasy fiction world in my head and doing things you are not able to, here on earth!
I was way too young when the series came up, but thanks to technology, you can look up and download episodes, dvd’s, etc..
I liked how it turned out, and hope you enjoy it as well !
I, once again, would like to start the week with positive and enduring thoughts! Hug around, folks :)))
This last weekend, I had a friend coming over, who is quite the twitter phenomenon “celebrity” and has the ultimate publicity potential! Hah, not that, but I really wanted to give a gift to her, also because she had been following my posts and stating she wanted one, so I made it real!
The thing was, I couldn’t ask her what she wanted, like “Hey, any cool quotes in your mind for me to put on a t-shirt?” That would have ruined the surprise, so I browsed through her albums and tried to catch something that she might like. I saw this photo of a quote on a wall in London, in a recent trip she had been, so I went with this!
I liked how it turned out, did you?
I wanted to make her more than one, so that she could “publicize” easier (!) but I had limited time, as I had other orders of clients lined up!
The thing about creative/crafty work is you want to give gifts to your friends and family, but the leisure joy of it vanishes when you actually make a living out of it and try to meet the deadlines, *while* being innovative and creative.
I steal time from my work, blur the line between work & play, and prepare some form of art – may it be cupcake decorations, home solutions or jewelry design- just for the sake of it, so that I don’t get carried away in the dull routine of work.
Oh, the deadlines I have to meet?
The clients are happily wearing their equin-co’s as I type. 😉
It’s officially summer, everybody! At least here, where I live in Izmir 🙂
It has been a hectic road of thunders and rains not long ago, but from couple of days on, the sun is shining!
The good weather effected my creativity, as well, I think! I was inclined to make anything joyous and fun. I got orders on the “owlsome buddies” but I kindly asked them If I could do a slightly different version that has been stuck in my head. Both my clients said yes, I mean, when someone says ” Hey, I have more elaborate design with more figures in it, ” you say “Go ahead!”
Anyhow, here are the final products! :
How do you like them? Any feedback is very much appreciated.:)
and remember, they can be yours, too!
This authentic original equin-co owl designs are here to make your day better 🙂
Ok, as I promised (better late than ever! ) I am posting more birthday photos. I mean, regarding design.. This one, I got so many orders, from fellow year-mates (if it is such a word :)) I was exhausted making 25-year-old t-shirts!
I basically wore this one three days in a row. All weekend, to all kind of family, friend, work celebrations:)
But, I didn’t make it ALL about me. (hard to believe, huh?)
I made these to my cousins to wear all together. Thanks to their unlimited contributions to my line of clients and their inner glow, they gave me enormous energy!
In another news, you can go to my instagram page, to purchase my artwork now!
I patiently waited for my gallery to open, apparently there has been people wait listed, because it ain’t that easy to get it. 🙂
Additionally, my two cents about the ongoing arguments whether the instagram photographer is a “real photographer” : I, personally think it really is questionable if *everyone* on instagram is an artist. Don’t think so. But, and that’s a big BUT, there are some very very talented people on there, as well.
I am a little out of the subject to talk, because I don’t shoot landscape, or portrait or anything photograph-artistic worthy, I shoot my drawings, or collaborations (i.e. pretzel owls) so that kinda makes sense in a pop art form.
Although I agree with people that stand against *everyone* who has a smart phone to act like an artist and sell their crappy shoots, I support this kind of attempts, because you never know, maybe everyone really IS an artist! I mean, who and what defines Art, anymore?
I talked too much today:)
Have a lovely week and hope everyone has celebrations, birthdays, etc to have fun on this week!
